HOKA Rincon 4 - Hoka Citrus/Black

If there is one thing that defines these Hoka Rincon 4 shoes, it is their perfect balance between lightness and cushioning, which makes them a great option if we are looking for asphalt shoes that allow us to run at controlled paces and at the same time speed up the days that we need them.

Sole
A peculiarity of these Rincon 4 is that they do not have a sole as such. That is, they do not have the classic piece of rubber that acts as… what is called a sole, really. Although it may sound strange, the piece that comes into contact with the ground is part of the midsole, made of a vulcanized EVA that provides firmness and resistance while working to make the tread as smooth as possible. A curious aspect to say the least.

Midsole
A great improvement compared to its previous version is that we gain in comfort, both in the toe area and in the foot in general, thanks to its greater cushioning. The combination of the two layers of midsole (the softer one and the vulcanized EVA that acts as the sole) makes the experience of running with them super pleasant, comfortable and reactive.

The shoes have a drop of 5mm.

Upper
The upper does its job perfectly, being very light, seamless, with a good tongue, pleasant padding in the heel area and enough structure to make it a very stable shoe.

With all this, we are talking about only 228 grams of weight. A tremendously light shoe.
